20 players took on GM Keith Arkell in the well contested Monday night simul in the Mortimer Suite. Eagle-eyed chess players would have recognised many of Keith’s trade-mark endgame grinds, and his generous nature was enjoyed by all participants, allowing each player a take back and some friendly banter between moves.

In the end Keith finished with 18 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss to Reyansh Saxena who won an exchange and showed impressive determination to convert the win. Louis Cheng scored the sole draw with an excellent performance.
